The company are an established and leading manufacturer of precision components and assemblies to the aerospace industry. Pertemps are working on their behalf to recruit a Laboratory Manager for their operations in Redditch.

Salary: £42,000 to £52,000 per annum.

Working Hours: Days (Monday to Friday).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the scheduling and testing of work in progress.
  • Training, certification and management of lab technicians.
  • Maintaining calibration of the test equipment and ensuring NADCAP MTL requirements are adhered to.
  • Liaise with quality, logistics, manufacturing and engineering teams.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous lab experience.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Experience in mechanical testing.
  • Able to work to very tight tolerances.
  • Knowledge of NADCAP.
  • Qualification in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science (Advantageous not essential).
  • Able to interpret industry standards for test requirements.
