Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Admin Assistant to support a busy Supply Chain department within a large industrial manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a well-established business on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will provide key administrative support across customs, shipping, and invoice processing activities, helping to ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day supply chain functions. The role would suit an individual who is confident working with data, documentation, and internal systems within a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Support import customs clearance administration
- Manage export customs clearance documentation
- Process and maintain shipping line documentation
- Assist the wider Supply Chain team with general administrative duties
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is completed correctly
- Work with spreadsheets and reporting tools to manage and track data
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders
Essential Requirements
- Previous administration experience within a busy office environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including: VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
- Confident using computer systems and handling large volumes of data
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous SAP experience
- Experience within supply chain, logistics, shipping, or manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of customs documentation processes
