Warehouse Operative/Shipping & Packing Assistant Required (PM Shift)
Duties:
- Understand and follow all aspects of health, safety and risk management as set out by the company.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against orders and records.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Packages select preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
- Use of computer programs such as ERP, Internet, regularly throughout the shift.
- Loading/Unloading of company or third-party vehicles.
- Operate company forklift trucks & manual handling equipment for department and in support of other departments in the plant.
- Undertake and complete all company mandated training.
Experience Required:
- Packaging & shipping of industrial components preferred.
- Processing of goods through company or third-party systems.
- Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
- Capacity to demonstrate retention of knowledge and products.
- Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy.
- Ability to demonstrate consistent high quantity completion while maintaining high quality packing standards.
- Basic computer skills (email, word).
Additional Info:
- Hours: 2.30pm-11.00pm Monday to Friday.
- Rate: £13.00-£14.50 per hour.
- Start Date: ASAP.
