The Opportunity

As the Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be at the heart of driving and enhancing MBSE capability across a major engineering environment. You'll work alongside technical experts, business leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to develop robust engineering models, improve system integration, and support key programme decision‑making. Responsibilities

  • Supporting and advancing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices
  • Managing requirements, interfaces, trade studies, and system integration activities
  • Maintaining the integrity, consistency, and usability of complex engineering models
  • Developing clear reporting tools and visualisations for stakeholders
  • Supporting integration between MBSE tools, systems, and wider engineering functions
  • Producing and analysing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with technical specialists and senior stakeholders across the organisation
  • Developing verification and validation strategies to ensure engineering accuracy and traceability
  • Supporting and maintaining SQL databases to ensure reliable engineering data

Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong experience working within Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineering models and system integrations
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualisation tools
  • Good understanding of SQL/database management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience developing verification and validation strategies within engineering or defence environments

This role will require active UK security clearance!
