The Opportunity
As the Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be at the heart of driving and enhancing MBSE capability across a major engineering environment. You'll work alongside technical experts, business leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to develop robust engineering models, improve system integration, and support key programme decision‑making. Responsibilities
- Supporting and advancing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices
- Managing requirements, interfaces, trade studies, and system integration activities
- Maintaining the integrity, consistency, and usability of complex engineering models
- Developing clear reporting tools and visualisations for stakeholders
- Supporting integration between MBSE tools, systems, and wider engineering functions
- Producing and analysing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborating with technical specialists and senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Developing verification and validation strategies to ensure engineering accuracy and traceability
- Supporting and maintaining SQL databases to ensure reliable engineering data
Skills/Qualifications
- Strong experience working within Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Proven ability to manage complex engineering models and system integrations
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and visualisation tools
- Good understanding of SQL/database management
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience developing verification and validation strategies within engineering or defence environments
