Our client, a rapidly growing organisation, urgently require an experienced NOC Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:

  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, and basic troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with server or cloud-based environments and system performance monitoring
  • Experience using monitoring platforms and ticketing systems in an operational environment
  • Ability to interpret logs, alerts, and metrics to support effective issue diagnosis
  • Able to obtain SC Clearance

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor the health, performance, and availability of network devices, exit nodes, applications, and supporting infrastructure
  • Analyse traffic patterns, bandwidth usage, and system behaviour to identify anomalies or early signs of degradation
  • Use monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic tools to maintain continuous situational awareness of live environments
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and alerts through the central ticketing platform, ensuring accurate categorisation and prioritisation
  • Escalate issues in line with documented operational procedures, ensuring timely involvement of engineering or senior support when required
  • Maintain clear, concise, and accurate ticket updates throughout the incident lifecycle
  • Perform initial investigation and root cause analysis using logs, metrics, and monitoring data
  • Resolve common issues relating to connectivity, application performance, system health, and hardware faults where possible
  • Contribute findings to the knowledge base to support faster resolution and operational learning
