Hours: 08:00, Monday - Friday

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 DOE + Door-to-Door Pay + Overtime

About the Role

We are working with a well-established, nationwide materials handling business that continues to grow through strong customer demand and long-term client relationships. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile Service Engineer to join a family-run business that prides itself on delivering a genuinely local service while supporting some major national clients. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add to their engineering team in the Reading / Heathrow area, with Heathrow Airport being one of the key client sites.

The ideal candidate will be based close to Heathrow or within easy reach of the surrounding area.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for travelling to customer sites to service, maintain, and repair a range of materials handling equipment.
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
  • Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs.
  • Working across a variety of leading manufacturers including (but not limited to) Still, EP, Hyundai, Hyster, and more.
  • Providing a high level of customer service while on-site.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company standards.
  • Managing your own workload and maintaining accurate service records.

About You

  • Proven experience working as a forklift / materials handling engineer is essential.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Confident working independently in a field-based role.
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ideally based within commuting distance of Heathrow Airport.
