Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major clean water infrastructure project. The works involve cofferdam construction and backfill, clean water pipework installation, and associated heavy civils works across a long-term clean water programme.
Site Engineer Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, and to specification.
- Setting out and surveying for cofferdam, backfill, and clean water pipework works.
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Produce and maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and QA documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works.
- Assist with RAMS, permits, ITPs, and temporary works documentation.
- Monitor progress against the programme and report on site activities to the project team.
- Liaise with the Site Agent, Sub Agent, and design teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
Site Engineer Requirements:
- Proven experience working on clean water, utilities, or heavy civils projects.
- Experience with cofferdams, backfill operations, and pipework installation preferred.
- Strong setting out and surveying background within civil engineering environments.
- CSCS card required.
- Blue EUSR Water Hygiene card required.
- SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with surveying equipment and site engineering documentation.
