Location: Reading area

Hours: 16:00-00:00 (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + overtime at 1.5x + late shift allowance

An excellent opportunity has become available for a qualified HGV Technician to join a leading commercial vehicle service centre in the Reading area. This is a permanent late‑shift role working with modern equipment in a well‑organised workshop, offering excellent earning potential and training support to help you progress your career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine service, inspection, and repair work on heavy goods vehicles and trailers.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults quickly and accurately.
  • Perform mechanical repairs, wheel alignment, and tyre fitting to manufacturer standards.
  • Ensure all documentation and job cards are completed accurately.
  • Maintain workshop standards for safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
Skills & Experience
  • Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI).
  • Experience working on HGVs in a workshop, manufacturer, or fleet environment.
  • Sound understanding of DVSA safety and inspection standards.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous).
  • Reliable, safety‑conscious, and quality‑driven team player.
