About the Maths Teacher Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality Maths lessons across a range of abilities, helping pupils build confidence, problem‑solving skills, and strong mathematical understanding. You will maintain clear routines, encourage positive behaviour, and create a productive learning environment that supports academic success.

Key Responsibilities as Maths Teacher

  • Structured Maths Teaching: Deliver engaging and well‑planned Maths lessons tailored to student needs.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain positive behaviour, routines, and high expectations within the classroom.
  • Targeted Support: Provide additional guidance and intervention to support student progress and attainment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess, monitor, and track pupil achievement and provide constructive feedback.

To succeed as a Maths Teacher, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths within mainstream, SEN, SEMH, or alternative provision settings is desirable.

  • A positive, organised, and resilient approach to teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
