We are currently supporting a client in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. With several new key projects recently secured, they now have an immediate requirement and the potential for up to two permanent hires as the team rebuilds.

This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor with an MEP background and approximately 4+ years of experience, who is capable of supporting and ultimately leading an £11m cleanrooms project, with guidance from senior colleagues. Candidates do not need to currently hold a senior title - those with fewer years of experience but strong potential are encouraged to apply, while more experienced applicants will also be considered. Previous experience managing contracts would however be necessary, rather than just a supporting role within a team.

As the team grows, this presents an excellent opportunity to join at an early stage, develop professionally, and become an integral part of the business, with clear opportunities for progression into senior and lead-level responsibilities.

The client specialises in cleanrooms and controlled environments, delivering projects across sectors including:

  • NHS and healthcare
  • Biopharmaceutical and life sciences
  • Microelectronics and high-tech manufacturing
  • Other specialist industrial environments

The role will be primarily office-based in Manchester, with regular travel to sites across the UK. Current project locations include Plymouth and Oxford.

Key requirements:

  • Approximately 4 - 6 years industry experience
  • Background in MEP / Building Services
  • Experience within commercial, industrial, or HVAC projects
  • Understanding of basic electrical principles
  • Ability to manage project costs and support delivery across multiple sites

Package:

Salary typically in the region of £50,000 - £60,000, negotiable depending on experience. Standard benefits package, including pension and death-in-service scheme.
