Location: Cumbria | Contract Length: 12 Months+ | Rate: £50‑60.00 per hour (DOE) | Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to support a major nuclear project based in Cumbria. This is an excellent long‑term contract opportunity to join a well‑established project team delivering work within a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all project quality assurance and quality control activities
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and nuclear quality requirements
  • Lead internal and external audits, supplier audits, and surveillance activities
  • Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes
  • Review and approve quality documentation including ITPs, LTQRs, quality plans, and inspection records
  • Liaise with project teams, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure quality expectations are achieved
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of project quality processes and procedures
  • Promote a strong quality and compliance culture across the wider delivery team

Key Requirements

  • Previous Nuclear / Sellafield experience essential
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance within highly regulated industries
  • Experience managing audits, NCRs, root cause analysis, and quality investigations
  • Familiarity with Bolster software advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced project environment
