We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Manager to support a major nuclear project based in Cumbria. This is an excellent long‑term contract opportunity to join a well‑established project team delivering work within a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all project quality assurance and quality control activities
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and nuclear quality requirements
- Lead internal and external audits, supplier audits, and surveillance activities
- Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and continuous improvement processes
- Review and approve quality documentation including ITPs, LTQRs, quality plans, and inspection records
- Liaise with project teams, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure quality expectations are achieved
- Support the implementation and maintenance of project quality processes and procedures
- Promote a strong quality and compliance culture across the wider delivery team
Key Requirements
- Previous Nuclear / Sellafield experience essential
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification
- Strong understanding of quality assurance within highly regulated industries
- Experience managing audits, NCRs, root cause analysis, and quality investigations
- Familiarity with Bolster software advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced project environment
