We are looking for a reliable and experienced Production Operative with a strong eye for quality to join our client in Rochdale. This role is ideal for someone who has a solid background in manufacturing and some exposure to quality inspection. You’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet required standards while supporting the production team.

Working Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Friday: 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • 39 hours per week
  • £13.56 per hour
  • Approx. £27,500 per year

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Checking products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Identifying and reporting faults or defects
  • Supporting investigations and rework where needed
  • Carrying out basic quality checks and audits
  • Recording data and completing reports
  • Working closely with production and supervisors
  • Supporting the team on the shop floor when required

What Our Client is Looking For

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (essential)
  • A strong eye for quality and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience working as an inspector in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with quality practices, inspection, testing, and documentation
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Team leadership or supervisory experience
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Confidence in instructing others and speaking in front of groups
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
