Purpose

Feed the pulpers according to the daily loading sheet in compliance with the working instructions and the safety guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Pick bales of pulp / converting broke, de-wire (pulp unit and single bale) and load onto conveyor in line with specified loading schedule, entering details into stock management system.
  • Be familiar with the functioning and automation of referent plant equipment.
  • Operate the de-wiring conveyor, pulper feed conveyors and steel wire baler.
  • Identify potential contaminants in bales and isolate.
  • Complete routine checks on equipment and installation in the working area and report any faults identified.
  • Operate equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
  • Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions.
  • Assist with the operation and cleaning of the paper machine if required, including all tasks where trained.
  • Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment and Health and Safety.
  • Ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift.
  • Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to.
