A welcoming primary school in Harrow is looking to appoint a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant for September. This opportunity is ideal for a graduate looking to gain meaningful school-based experience before progressing into Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy or Teacher Training.
The role will involve supporting pupils across KS2, including children with additional needs relating to ASD, ADHD and SEMH. The school is looking for someone reflective, proactive and genuinely interested in child development and behaviour support.
About the Role- Support pupils across KS2 during lessons and structured learning activities
- Work with children who require additional support with focus, emotional regulation and engagement
- Deliver small-group intervention sessions linked to learning and social development
- Build positive relationships with pupils and act as a consistent support figure
- Help maintain a calm and inclusive classroom environment
- Observe behaviour and learning patterns, providing feedback to staff where appropriate
- Gain exposure to a range of SEN needs and classroom strategies
