Busy Fitout and Refurbishment Contractor seeks to appoint a Senior QS or QS to their business in Edinburgh. They are a highly respected and rapidly growing contractor with offices in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, known for their exceptionally positive workplace culture and collaborative environment.
The company delivers a diverse portfolio of projects across both the public and private sectors, including commercial offices, education, healthcare, leisure and specialist refurbishments. With a strong pipeline for 2026 and beyond, they are now looking to appoint an ambitious Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
Responsibilities
- Cost planning, measurement and tender support
- Managing subcontractor procurement and contract administration
- Preparing and reviewing valuations and variations
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Ensuring projects are delivered profitably and to high commercial standards
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Qualifications
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, ideally with a background in fit‑out or refurbishment (not essential)
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Ability to manage several live projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proactive, solution‑oriented approach
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional experience
- Familiarity with the contractor’s culture of collaboration, trust, flexibility and modern work practices
