Leading Tier 1 Builder in Edinburgh seeks an experienced Project Manager for the fabric refurbishment of an iconic Edinburgh building.
Responsibilities
- Lead full project leadership, overseeing a programme of fabric-focused works including external envelope upgrades, stone repair, façade works, roofing, windows and structural fabric enhancements.
- Manage sensitive refurbishment to retain key architectural features while improving building performance.
- Collaborate closely with fabric specialists, design consultants, planners and stakeholders.
- Manage access strategies, temporary works and safe delivery in a constrained, busy environment.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors and enforce strict quality control across trades.
- Take full responsibility for programme, health and safety, budgets, procurement and reporting.
- Lead experienced site managers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing fabric refurbishments, facades, ideally £10m or more.
- Strong understanding of stone, roof and external envelope works on existing structures.
- Experience managing projects in live or urban settings with complex access challenges.
- Confident leadership and ability to navigate multiple stakeholders, from consultants to ownership bodies.
- Robust technical and commercial understanding of refurbishment methodology.
- SMSTS and strong safety credentials.
- Experience within Edinburgh’s built environment sector is highly advantageous.
