I'm currently recruiting for a Project Design Manager on behalf of a client in the UK water sector. The role focuses on leading and coordinating a multi-disciplinary design team delivering either clean or wastewater capital projects. You'll need to be comfortable managing complex designs end-to-end, working within regulated environments, and prioritising safety, quality, value, and sustainability. Familiarity with CDM, BIM, and digital design tools is beneficial.
What we're looking for:
- Degree-qualified in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience delivering capital projects within the UK water sector
- Strong background in clean water treatment and non-infrastructure assets
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Confident managing suppliers and third-party designers
Desirable:
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards)
- Experience in a Design & Build environment
Offer:
- Contract - 12 months rolling
- Rate - 550 per day (Inside IR35)
- Location - Peterborough
- Working arrangement: Hybrid - 2 days per fortnight
- Mile and lodge costs are reimbursable
