Are you an experienced Production Supervisor? Are you looking to join a well established and financially secure business? Do you have an in-date counterbalance licence? Then we have the job for you.

We are supporting a successful and privately owned manufacturing facility with the recruitment of a Production Supervisor. This is a pivotal role within the company, and they need someone with previous production supervisory experience with a hands-on approach and an in-date counterbalance licence. The role is based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield; however, you must be prepared to work out of their other site based near Meadowhall Sheffield.

Objectives of Production Supervisor:

  • To maintain and improve standards of efficiency, effectiveness and quality within Manufacturing, Warehouse and Distribution.
  • To improve communication between all other operations functions.

Main responsibilities of a Production Supervisor:

  • To maintain, co-ordinate and improve working practices within the factory/warehouse, subject to performance measures regarding waste and efficiency.
  • Work to lean manufacturing systems and KPIs.
  • To monitor and maintain quality standards throughout the factory, investigating any non-conformances and implementing corrective action.
  • Manage the Production Operative team and Drivers ensuring attendance and conduct are in line with company policy.
  • Manage the delivery schedule to ensure customer deliveries are managed to expectations.
  • Manage driver and factory resource effectively.
  • To assist in the training and monitoring of new staff and the continued education, training and development of the Production Operative team.
  • To liaise with other Managers to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Company.
  • Full responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of H&S practices in the Production/Warehouse/Distribution Department.
  • Ensure production schedule is adhered to and is managed throughout the day.

Requirements for a Production Supervisor:

  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Counterbalance FLT License in date.
  • You must have previously worked as a supervisor or team leader within a production environment.
  • Have a hands-on approach and lead from the front.
