Our client, a leading manufacturer in Oldham, is looking to recruit an experienced Production Planner to join the business on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in Production Planning in a manufacture to order environment.

Candidates will be required to coordinate the issue and receipt of all manufacturing paperwork to the planned schedule to achieve OTD. Candidates will have experience working within a Manufacturing Engineering based environment, ideally with experience in planning Fabrication, Machining, and Assembly.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 3:30PM. This role is available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the issue and receipt of all manufacturing paperwork to the planned schedule.
  • Capture root cause for failure to achieve customer delivery schedule & lead time.
  • Highlight any past due customer orders and escalate through the appropriate channels to completion.
  • Plan capacity against workload, highlighting any issues to the Value Stream Manager.
  • Report daily KPIs against Production Plans including kitting, quality release, and witness inspection.
  • Coordinate sub-contract operations and free issue material to meet production demands.
  • Review the sales order backlog report to coordinate accurate information for the daily weekly production meetings and open order books.
  • Provide Customer Services and lead time responses in a timely manner.
  • Support in the investigation and close out of NCRs within expected lead time.
  • Create, develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all internal stakeholders.
  • Whilst undertaking duties, ensure that all Company policy and procedures are adhered to (including HSE and Quality).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in production planning - ideally with experience in planning fabrication, machining or assembly.
  • Ability to bring multiple departments together to ensure OTD.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage work pressure.
