Production Operative Wanted. You must have a car or mode of transport to get to and from work (no bus or train services available!). Due to increased production and workload, we require an additional full-time temporary to permanent production and/or factory operative, with any food production/handling, factory, or machine operating experience, to work rotating shift patterns Monday to Friday, 40-Hours Per Week.

Weekly / Fortnightly / Monthly Rotating Shift Patterns: Day Shift 06:00am till 14:15pm / Afternoon Shift 14:00pm till 22:15pm.

Hourly Pay Rates: Trial Shifts (up to 12-weeks) £12.90 per hour. Rotating Shifts £13.03 per hour (no matter what shift is worked). If successful at interview you will complete paid trial shifts to experience the job and to collaborate with the team. If you are successful with the trial shifts (mornings and afternoons), you will move to a full-time, temporary to permanent position. Your assessment will continue up to 12-weeks and at completion your pay rate will increase to £13.03 per hour on any 'Rotating Shift' that you work.

Due to the rural location, you must have a car or motorbike to commute to work each day as there are no bus or train services. If you live locally then you might be able to cycle to and from work within 30-minutes, in all weather conditions.

Job Summary: This role will be challenging as you will be learning how to use various machinery and production processes, which is why we are looking for people who actively want to engage, develop new skills, and knowledge. Building on your current transferable skills in food production or factory production, and machine operating experience, you will be supported and trained by a specialised production team who are looking for someone who will engage and follow directions/instructions, in a busy but rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing daily processes and orders, lifting and handling products/raw ingredients, operating and monitoring production equipment, ensuring the safety and quality of products. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and compliance with health regulations. You must be able to work the rotating shift patterns; you will not be able to just work one shift and not the other, this is due to production demands.

Duties:

  • Operate production machinery, work on a conveyor belt/process production line, ensuring adherence to operational protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates during the production process to guarantee product safety.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including batch numbers, temperatures, and processing times.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet established quality standards.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures for equipment and work areas.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a food processing or factory production is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions relating to ingredients, weights, and measures.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to production targets.
  • Ability to work rotating shift patterns as listed above, required by production schedules.
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Any experience using food production or factory machinery would be an advantage.
