Gap Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading glass manufacturer. We have multiple positions available across various departments, offering a hands-on role in the glass production process.
- Sealing Department: Handling and taping glass edges, loading onto pallets and trolleys. Physically demanding work with varying glass sizes and weights.
- Cutting CNC Machine: Working with CNC cutting machines, selecting jobs, cracking excess glass, and loading trolleys. Minimal agency use in this department.
- Toughened Glass: Loading glass for edge sanding and toughening, testing 6-8 windows per day using a tester and hammer. Heavy lifting and handling sharp glass edges safely.
- Production Line: Loading glass onto machines, quality checking for cracks, scratches, and cleanliness, preparing glass for argon gas filling and moving along the production line.
- Dispatch: Loading and unloading glass for delivery.
Pay: £12.71/hr (6am-2pm) / £13.90/hr (2pm-10pm) - ROTATING SHIFTS. Overtime Rates: Over 40 hours: £15.89/hr, Saturday (4 hours): £19.07/hr, Saturday (8 hours), Sunday, Bank Holidays: £24.42/hr.
Requirements: Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting, attention to detail for quality control roles, team player with a positive attitude. No prior experience necessary; full training provided.
