We are recruiting for an experienced Factory Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business. This role will be based at their Mid Kent site, while reporting into their East Kent depot. It is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and detail‑driven individual with a proven background in assembly work, looking for long‑term progression within a supportive and quality‑focused environment.

The position will begin in an Assembly Operative capacity, where you will be responsible for learning the full build and inspection process of manufactured products. For the right candidate, there are opportunities to progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working within a busy manufacturing environment assembling and building products
  • Carrying out quality checks to ensure all products meet strict standards
  • Following detailed work instructions with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Supporting production processes from assembly through to final inspection
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment in line with health & safety standards
  • (Progression) Supervising and supporting team members as a Production Leader
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Proven experience in a factory or manufacturing environment, ideally within assembly roles
  • Strong attention to detail with a clear focus on quality
  • A reliable, punctual and consistent work ethic
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently when required
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices
  • Previous team leader or supervisory experience would be an advantage but is not essential
