Right Match Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well-established and international organisation based in Rainham, Essex to recruit a forward-thinking Mill Operative to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and fixed 6 months contract role. You will be working on an 8-hour shift, rotating on days (early and afternoon shift) Monday to Friday.

As a Mill Operative, you will play a crucial role in the continuous development of your production area, supporting the delivery of the site plan. You will work together with your team on various production processes.

  • Handle Raw Materials: Oversee the intake, transfer, and preparation of raw materials to ensure high-quality end product.
  • Maintain Quality and Efficiency: Ensure product quality, minimise waste, and keep the plant running efficiently.
  • Monitor Machinery: Regularly inspect and maintain mill machinery to prevent issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with your team to deliver the production plan and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record and maintain paperwork to support product traceability and quality.
  • Problem Solving: Address and solve non-engineering issues with machinery to minimise stoppages and improve efficiency.
  • Training and Flexibility: Receive training in various areas to increase skills and flexibility, covering different tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Good numeracy and interpretation of data skills.
  • Food safety certificate; health & safety qualification (desirable).
  • Previous SAP knowledge (desirable).
  • Experience of automated process lines.
  • Previous flour milling or food production experience (desirable).
  • Basic IT skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to work in the team and on your own.
  • Open and eager to learn; training for Millers will be provided.
