We're seeking a talented Procurement Specialist to join a progressive business. As the Procurement Specialist you may currently be in a procurement consultancy role and looking for a fresh challenge or may be a procurement professional who is looking to utilise and grow their knowledge and experience in a new career direction.
Responsibilities:
- Providing expert procurement advice and delivery capabilities to our clients.
- Delivering best practice procurement strategy, tender management, and tender evaluation services across the public and private sectors.
- Providing input into business cases, strategies, and delivery models to embed robust and pragmatic commercial and procurement practices.
- Providing commercial advice and support to clients to define, negotiate and award a range of standard and bespoke contracts.
- Supporting colleagues and the business with business development activities to continue to grow our Procurement Advisory capabilities, including lead generation, bids and RFPs.
- Identifying and developing new service offerings.
Qualifications:
- CIPS accreditation and extensive procurement experience.
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
- Proven track record in delivering tangible procurement and supply chain benefits.
- Experience and application of the NEC4 suite of contracts (ideal but not a prerequisite).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and an ability to keep our clients delighted.
- A proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach, able to build relationships and networks both within and external to the business.
- Strong MS Office skills, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
