A client of ours in the Clacton area are recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm and paying up to 28,000 per annum depending on experience.
Your key duties in this Purchasing Assistant role will include but are not limited to:
- Managing procurement activities through ERP systems (Sage X3), including MRP functions
- Issuing RFQs, reviewing supplier quotations, and processing purchase orders
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and system data
- Liaising with suppliers to resolve delivery, pricing, and order issues
- Collaborating with internal teams to communicate order status and support operations
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:
- Previous experience in a procurement or purchasing role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with ERP systems (Sage X3 desirable) and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
