A highly respected engineering and technology organisation is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the delivery of complex, high-profile programmes within a secure and regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on advanced integrated systems that support critical operational capabilities both in the UK and internationally.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering systems engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from early requirements capture through to integration, validation and final delivery. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will help ensure technical solutions are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver systems engineering activities across multiple project phases
- Produce, review and maintain technical documentation and specifications
- Support major design reviews and engineering assurance activities
- Work with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure technical alignment and delivery
- Review technical requirements and provide engineering input throughout programme execution
- Collaborate with software, hardware, safety, verification and integration teams
- Contribute to technical planning, risk management and project estimation activities
- Ensure solutions are delivered in line with programme schedules, quality standards and customer expectations
Skills & Experience Required
- Degree qualified in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a similar discipline
- Previous experience within defence, aerospace, maritime or another regulated engineering sector
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles including requirements management, integration and verification
- Experience with control systems, PLC/SCADA or operational technology environments
- Familiarity with model-based engineering tools such as Enterprise Architect
- Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of safety-critical or environmentally regulated systems
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to verification and validation activities including EMC or environmental testing
- INCOSE accreditation or similar professional recognition
Additional Information
Due to the nature of the projects involved, applicants must be UK Citizens and eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
