Location: London

Contract: 12+ months

Rate: £40-£55 per hour (Inside IR35)

Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in office)

We are seeking experienced Principal Electrical Engineers to support a growing pipeline of projects within the Defence sector. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering exposure to complex, high-value projects within a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical building services design and consultancy under the direction of the Project Lead
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables including drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Undertake site surveys and support construction-stage activities
  • Carry out design checks and calculations to ensure compliance with relevant standards and client requirements
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop efficient, safe, and buildable solutions
  • Support tender documentation, fee estimates, scopes of work, and change control processes
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder engagement throughout project delivery
  • Ensure awareness and application of CDM regulations

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • Ideally Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards (CIBSE or IET)
  • Right to work in the UK

Technical Experience

  • Strong background in electrical building services design
  • Proven experience in technical detailing and specification writing
  • Working knowledge of: BIM Level 2, Navisworks, AutoCAD, NBS, Amtech / Trimble (or Electrical OM exposure desirable)
