ANZUK Education is seeking motivated and reliable Teaching Assistants to support schools in Weston-super-Mare and surrounding areas. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to assist with day-to-day classroom activities and longer-term placements.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Tasks may include helping small groups or individual pupils, supporting students with SEND or SEMH needs, and contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom where all children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant
  • Support the delivery of lessons across KS1 and KS2, helping to engage and motivate pupils
  • Assist pupils with SEND and SEMH needs through one-to-one or small group support
  • Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom where every child feels valued
  • Apply effective behaviour management techniques suited to primary-aged children
  • Communicate clearly with teachers, pupils, and staff to maintain a productive learning environment
  • Contribute to wider school activities and initiatives, promoting a strong sense of community
The Ideal Teaching Assistant will:
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS (on the update service or be willing to apply via ANZUK)
  • Have experience supporting primary-aged children in the classroom
  • Understand SEND and how to adapt support to meet individual learning needs
  • Have the right to work in the UK
