Tradewind are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-established primary school in Salford on a full-time basis from the end of May. You will take full responsibility for a KS1 class, covering until the end of the academic year. The school offers a broad and engaging curriculum with a strong focus on early reading, phonics, and creating a nurturing learning environment where all pupils can thrive. Staff benefit from a collaborative team ethos, supportive leadership, and access to well-planned resources.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience teaching within KS1, with a secure understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Confidence in delivering phonics (experience with programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Little Wandle is desirable)
  • A nurturing, inclusive approach and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Experience using schemes such as White Rose Maths and structured reading programmes
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach

Essential requirements:

  • QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Recent experience teaching in KS1, supported by strong references
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
