Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Class Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools in Newcastle from June on a full-time and long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role:
- The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allow all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
- Stretching and challenging the learning and progress of all pupils.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
- Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
- Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and learning styles of all pupils.
- Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress.
- Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
- Working effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience.
About the School:
The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Newcastle. There is an opportunity for the role to be based across any age group from EYFS to Year 6, depending on the experience, specialism and preference of the successful candidate. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Pay - Between (Apply online only) per day
- Hours - :30
- Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
- Start Date - June
- Location - Newcastle
Experience / Qualifications and Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you).
- QTS and Primary School Teaching experience within the UK.
- Experience of short, medium and long-term planning.
- Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport.
- A positive and resilient attitude towards teaching and work.
- Experience of teaching within the UK.
- A genuine passion for teaching.
- Strong organisation and communication skills.
