An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join the welcoming and well-established team at Presteigne Medical Centre, part of the Shropdoc family. This is more than a clinical role; it is an opportunity to shape new models of rural primary care and make a real impact on local communities. The successful post-holder will work as a salaried GP providing primary care for approximately 3,600 patients. Presteigne is part of the Mid-Powys Primary Care Cluster, which has a combined list size of around 31,000 patients.
Job responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care via consultations, triage, and home visits.
- Manage long-term conditions and supervise clinical staff.
- Prescribe in line with local and national guidance.
- Contribute to audits, governance, and quality improvement.
- Mentor and lead within a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Criteria:
- Full GMC Registration with License to Practice.
- Relevant higher degree e.g. MRCGP or equivalent.
- On the GMC GP Register & Welsh Medical Performers List.
- Experience in NHS General Practice & Primary Care.
- Knowledge of UK hospital systems (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, IT, and team-working skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and commit to on-call duties.
