About the Job
Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and job specifications.
- Select, install, and adjust tooling to meet job requirements.
- Perform quality checks and ensure all parts meet required tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area in line with 5S standards in Order.
- Actively participate in Kaizen activities, contributing to continuous improvement of processes, safety, and productivity.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience operating CNC press brake machinery (required).
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with JP, Bystronic, or similar machinery.
- Basic programming knowledge (CNC press brake).
- Forklift licence or overhead crane experience (advantage).
