About the company: Our privately owned client, based in Central London and with regional offices throughout the UK, is a leading name in the enabling works industry, with a group annual turnover in excess of 200M. They undertake technical civil engineering projects throughout the UK with values ranging up to 15M and their group services include demolition, earthworks, infrastructure, multi utilities, remediation and asbestos removal. With a low staff turnover, this specialist contractor, which also operates as principal contractor on the majority of their projects, rarely recruits, and this opportunity has arisen purely due to company expansion.

About the opportunity: Due to company expansion, my client is recruiting for an experienced, commercially driven Preconstruction Lead to join their infrastructure side of the business, which currently turns over 35M. Reporting to the Director and based in their Central London office, you will take ownership of the full preconstruction function, leading bids and tenders from initial enquiry through to contract award while acting as a key client-facing representative of the business. This role requires a strong combination of technical understanding, commercial acumen and business development capability. As a Preconstruction Lead, you will play a critical role in securing profitable work across infrastructure and earthworks schemes (Highways and road construction, deep drainage, bulk earthworks and public realm work) throughout London and the surrounding home counties.

About the benefits and rewards: For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from 85,000 - 95,000 per annum; however, the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer which includes all travel expenses covered, private health care and enrolment into their pension scheme. Lastly, due to the current team structure and a growing company, fantastic career progression opportunities will be available.

About the requirements: To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold proven experience working in a senior preconstruction or business development role, operating within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector in the UK. You will hold a track record of successfully winning work on civils infrastructure schemes, be experienced in managing complex tenders and framework submissions, and hold strong client facing management skills.
