Position Summary
Pre-Delivery Inspections on a wide range of platform lifts, ensuring all quality and safety checks are completed and recorded prior to customer delivery. All tasks must be carried out safely and to a high standard.
Responsibilities of a Pre-Delivery Inspector
- Quality assurance and safety checks on completed platforms prior to delivery to customers or other depots.
- Identify and resolve issues on products.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Prep, clean, and ready equipment for shipment.
- Inspect surfaces for minor paint chips/scratches and complete touch-ups.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Report safety issues immediately to management.
- Support team members to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
- Carry out full function tests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
- NVQ Level 2/3 in motor mechanics or similar.
- Good standard of English and Mathematics.
- IPAF 3a/3b, LOLER, FLT or other access-industry certifications (desirable).
Desired Experience
- Minimum 12 months in a similar environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Detail-orientated with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
