Academics are seeking a strong yet compassionate SEMH Teacher to carry out a full-time contract in an established SEMH School in Portsmouth. This is to start in September. They are looking for an SEMH Teacher who is happy to teach various subjects across KS3 and KS4. The school caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs and other associated needs.
The suitable SEMH Teacher will be required to teach various lessons across KS3 and KS4 so must be someone who is able to think on their feet and enjoy the flexibility of teaching subjects across the curriculum. Due to the nature of the environment, this position is suited to someone who has worked with pupils with challenging behaviour in the past, or someone who is looking to work in a unique setting.
Class sizes are smaller than in a mainstream secondary school with a number of support staff on hand in the classroom.
