An established and growing technical business operating within infrastructure and specialist industrial products is seeking a hands-on Product Development / Applications Engineer to join its technical team. This is not a desk-based engineering role. The successful candidate will spend significant time working with products, equipment, customers and suppliers in real-world environments, supporting innovation and helping clients achieve optimum performance from specialist systems and technologies.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out practical testing, evaluation and reporting
- Support product demonstrations and customer presentations
- Deliver technical training and support
- Assist with on-site trials and product implementation
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners
- Identify opportunities for product and process improvements
- Support ongoing product development projects
We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Industrial coatings or paint systems
- Spray technologies or specialist equipment
- Construction chemicals
- Resin-based products
- Repair or reinstatement systems
- Industrial materials or related applications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant engineering or technical qualifications
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction or contracting environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A practical, hands-on approach
- Good organisational and reporting skills
- Full right to work in the UK and ability to travel within the UK and Europe
