Location: Southampton & Portsmouth Regions (There may be occasion travel to cover other sites in the Hampshire region)

Contract: Permanent Full-time position

The Fire & Security Engineer will be working for a well-established fire and security systems specialist who are in the search for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This role will involve working across commercial and high-specification environments, carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding on a range of life safety and electronic security systems. The business delivers integrated solutions across fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, suppression systems, and associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and fault-find on fire and security systems across commercial sites
  • Work on fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and associated systems
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive callouts
  • Assist with installations, commissioning, and system upgrades where required
  • Accurately complete service reports and compliance documentation
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with industry standards and health & safety requirements
  • Provide a high level of customer service and technical support on site
  • Participate in an on-call rota when required
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within the fire and security industry
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience across fire and/or electronic security systems
  • Knowledge of systems including fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control
  • Understanding of current industry regulations and standards
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Relevant industry qualifications or manufacturer training advantageous
