The Fire & Security Engineer will be working for a well-established fire and security systems specialist who are in the search for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This role will involve working across commercial and high-specification environments, carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding on a range of life safety and electronic security systems. The business delivers integrated solutions across fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, suppression systems, and associated technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and fault-find on fire and security systems across commercial sites
- Work on fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and associated systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive callouts
- Assist with installations, commissioning, and system upgrades where required
- Accurately complete service reports and compliance documentation
- Ensure all works are completed in line with industry standards and health & safety requirements
- Provide a high level of customer service and technical support on site
- Participate in an on-call rota when required
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within the fire and security industry
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience across fire and/or electronic security systems
- Knowledge of systems including fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control
- Understanding of current industry regulations and standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Relevant industry qualifications or manufacturer training advantageous
