An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities / Project Engineer to join a leading defence and aerospace organisation supporting high-profile operational sites across the UK. Working within a small, collaborative team, you'll play a key role in delivering internal facilities and infrastructure projects from concept through to completion. This position offers a varied workload across electrical, mechanical, and civil projects within a secure and highly regulated environment.
The Role
- Managing and coordinating facilities-based projects, including:
- Developing project concepts and scopes of work
- Producing project plans and supporting tender processes
- Reviewing contractor quotations and procurement submissions
- Coordinating RAMS and contractor documentation
- Monitoring contractors on-site and supporting project delivery
- Ensuring projects are completed and signed off in line with business requirements
- Liaising with internal stakeholders including Security, IT, H&S, and operational user groups
The role is primarily based in Havant, with occasional support required at the clients Gloucester and Westbury sites.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in Project Engineering or Project Management within facilities, infrastructure, defence, or related environments
- Strong understanding of project management principles and techniques
- Good knowledge of building regulations
- Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar 2D/3D CAD packages
- NEBOSH Level 2 minimum
- Ideally Prince2 qualified or working towards accreditation
- Minimum 3 years' experience within facilities or related engineering disciplines
