We are supporting a leading advanced composites manufacturer near Portsmouth who are continuing to secure long-term, high-end projects within the automotive, motorsport and advanced engineering sectors. Due to increasing workload, we are looking to speak with experienced Composite Laminators with strong visual carbon / cosmetic carbon fibre experience for ongoing contract work expected to run for a minimum of 6-12 months, with the likelihood of longer-term extensions.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled team producing high-quality, visually critical carbon fibre components where attention to detail and workmanship genuinely matter.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working with high-end carbon fibre and prepreg materials
- Visual / cosmetic carbon lay-up
- Maintaining accurate weave alignment and high cosmetic standards
- Tool preparation
- Vacuum bagging & de-bagging
- Demoulding
- Autoclave processes
- Working from technical drawings and work instructions
What we’re looking for:
- Previous Composite Laminating experience essential
- Strong visual carbon / exposed carbon fibre experience essential
- Experience working with prepreg carbon fibre
- Backgrounds from motorsport, automotive, aerospace or high-end composite manufacturing highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, professional and capable of working within an experienced production team
Contract Details:
- Ongoing contract work
- Expected duration 6-12 months minimum
- Potential for long-term extension
- Monday to Friday 40-60 hours available
- Competitive hourly rates depending on experience
- Immediate starts available
