My client based in Ponteland is looking for an experienced Assembly Operative to join an expanding team on an ongoing basis with an immediate start available. This position could become a permanent one for a suitable candidate.

Package

  • Salary: £13.00 per hour
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00, Friday: 08:30 – 14:00

Job Description

  • Assemble cut‑out parts and components according to drawings, instructions, or work orders
  • Inspect cut pieces for accuracy, defects, or damage before assembly
  • Use hand tools, fixtures, or basic machinery to complete assembly tasks
  • Ensure assembled products meet quality standards and specifications
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times
  • Report faults, defects, or shortages to the supervisor
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments as required
