Empowering Learning is currently recruiting an enthusiastic teacher of PE to work in a secondary school in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will have a desire to improve student standards and want to share their own creative ideas and experience. The role will commence as a short‑term supply arrangement and also involve planning of other lessons and subjects, though resources are provided. You will ideally have at least 2 years teaching experience in PE, although ECTs are welcome to apply.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain classroom experience and support the learning journey of students. You will:

  • Be in control of your working week

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in completing tasks and maintaining their focus.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
  • Wants to help schools and students alike, to achieve their goals
  • Is confident in managing groups of students across various year groups and subjects.
  • Holds a degree or equivalent experience in a teaching setting.
  • Has previous experience of teaching PE in a school setting.
  • Has a strong passion for the arts and inspiring students
  • Is highly organised, motivated and driven to succeed
  • Is a specialist in PE with the ability to teach all sports including netball, gymnastics, dance, football, fitness, rounders and athletics
  • Is a team member who will collaborate with colleagues to ensure the progress of students
  • Ideally has a proven track record of achieving outstanding results at GCSE sport
