We are working with a growing groundworks and civil engineering contractor expanding across the North East, with a strong pipeline of commercial projects. They are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage multiple groundwork packages across sites in the region.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing 2–3 projects at any one time, typically valued between £3m and £7m, working on a remeasure basis for main contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and submission of monthly valuations
  • Cost reporting and monthly CVR reporting
  • Managing variations and final accounts
  • Commercial management of labour, plant and materials
  • Liaising with site teams and main contractors
  • Attending monthly commercial meetings

Requirements

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within groundworks or civil engineering
  • Strong understanding of remeasure contracts and valuations
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Commercially astute and able to manage packages independently
  • Full UK driving licence
