Physical Education Teacher, Derby
Position: PE Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Derby
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: Competitive daily rate (depending on experience and qualifications)
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum, promoting physical literacy, teamwork, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
- Organise and lead extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and school teams, fostering competitive opportunities and representing the school in local and regional competitions.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to whole‑school initiatives that support student wellbeing, safeguarding, and healthy active lifestyles.
- Contribute to the wider school community and department development.
Requirements
- All candidates must provide a recent DBS check, a barred list check, two references from their most recent employers, and complete appropriate child protection screening, including checks with former employers.
