We’re looking for a warm, reliable and energetic Nursery Assistant to join friendly early years settings across Torbay. If you love helping little ones learn through play and want flexible work that fits around life, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
- Support children aged 0-5 with play-based learning and daily routines
- Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive environment indoors and outdoors
- Follow EYFS frameworks and contribute to observations where needed
- Assist with mealtimes, toileting, sleep routines and transition times
- Build positive relationships with staff, children and families
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies at all times
About you:
- Experience working with early years (nursery, preschool or reception)
- Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification preferred (not essential for the right person)
- Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene a plus
- Clear, confident communicator; team player with a can-do attitude
- Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK and able to provide suitable references
