About the Role:

They are currently recruiting for a Packing Operative & Case Maker to join a busy warehouse and cargo handling operation. This is a hands‑on permanent opportunity working within a highly regulated bonded warehouse environment handling secure cargo. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within export packing, woodworking, case making, warehouse, or manufacturing environments, although full training can be provided for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building wooden export cases and packing secure cargo
  • Using woodworking equipment including saws and nail guns
  • Loading and unloading cargo and materials
  • Working from measurements and packing specifications
  • Supporting warehouse and logistics operations
  • Adhering to strict health & safety and security procedures
  • Working effectively within a team and independently when required

About You:

  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, woodworking, joinery, or packing experience preferred
  • Experience using hand and power tools beneficial
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy with measurements
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
  • Flexible and professional approach to work
  • Able to work under pressure and meet changing deadlines
  • Counterbalance FLT licence highly desirable

Important Compliance Requirements:

  • Basic DBS check
  • 5‑year employment/education history check (no gaps exceeding 28 days)
  • ID verification (passport or driving licence)
