Rhino Recruitment is working on behalf of a valued client to appoint an experienced Site Manager for an upcoming solar installation project based at a major automotive manufacturing facility in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Site Manager to take a lead role in overseeing site activity, quality assurance, and coordination of subcontractors on a technically straightforward but high-profile project.
The Role
- Oversee site operations for a solar panel installation project
- Manage and coordinate subcontracted installation teams
- Ensure all works are carried out to required quality standards
- Conduct inspections and maintain QA records
- Use digital platforms for reporting and project tracking (Monday.com / BIM360)
- Act as the senior on-site representative for the client
- Liaise with stakeholders and ensure smooth day-to-day site operations
Requirements
- Valid SMSTS certification (essential)
- Valid CSCS Black Card/CSCS White Card (essential)
- Proven experience in a Site Manager or similar role
- Strong background in QA and inspection processes
- Comfortable using digital systems and reporting tools
- Experience in solar, M&E, or roofing projects (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain high standards on site
