The Opportunity
We're working with a well-established, privately owned main contractor based in North Oxfordshire, known for delivering high-quality commercial and industrial projects across the region. With a strong reputation for repeat business and a collaborative, down-to-earth culture, they are continuing to grow and invest in their team.
Due to a growing pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint a Site Manager to lead a 2 million new-build commercial scheme north of Oxford. Projects typically range from 1m- 3m, offering a great variety of work while maintaining a hands-on, close-knit team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Leadership - Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard
- Programme Management - Manage short-term programming, sequencing and subcontractor coordination to keep the project on track
- Coordination - Liaise closely with the commercial, design and supply chain teams to resolve issues and maintain momentum
- Quality & Safety - Uphold high standards of workmanship and ensure all health & safety procedures are followed
- Client Interaction - Act as the key on-site point of contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client expectations are met
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial or new-build schemes
- Experience delivering projects in the 1m- 3m range
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing and site coordination
- Ability to lead from the front and manage multiple trades effectively
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level) & First Aid essential
- Full UK driving licence
