We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse to join our clinical team, supporting a range of ophthalmic procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field for ophthalmic procedures, including cataract and retinal surgery.
- Assist surgeons during operations, ensuring instruments and equipment are ready and available.
- Deliver high standards of patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and clinical governance standards.
Requirements:
- Be a registered nurse (NMC) or ODP with valid UK registration.
- Previous scrub experience in ophthalmology essential.
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and theatre protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
