We are currently seeking a reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious FLT Operative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and can support daily operational activities across the site. The successful candidate must hold a valid External Counterbalance FLT Licence (2.5t) and an MP Connect Card. Candidates with an IOSH qualification or equivalent health & safety training are highly desirable, as this is typically required to obtain the MP Connect Card.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 2.5t Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Carry out general brushing, cleaning, and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Move materials and packaging ranging from 25kg to 1 tonne around production and storage areas
- Support loading, unloading, and line feeding activities
- Assist with basic production line operations and changeovers when required
- Follow all company health & safety, hygiene, and operational procedures
- Work flexibly across warehouse and production areas as directed by supervisors or team leaders
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining site safety and cleanliness
Requirements
- Valid External Counterbalance FLT Licence (2.5t)
- MP Connect Card
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling and lifting heavy materials
- Strong awareness of workplace safety and housekeeping standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
